Day at the zoo
This is dad and ammons first trip to the phoenix zoo!!! We had so much fun...it was hot hot hot
Ammon went to the kids play park. They have a little area where the water would fly out of the ground. The longer he was there the more he loved to be there
It was truly needed for a little boy to get this wet to cool off.
We loved the zoo and will be back sometime in the future....it will need be cooler though

Destroying The Pancake
Ammon is becomming quite the little destroyer! He actualy ate most of the pancake, deispite all of the droppings you see around him. He has almost outgrown his Bumbo chair, his thick thighs are so chubby that when we pick him up the chair comes with him. Yeah, real big!!

I went to Wood Badge training up near Flagstaff for six days and when I came back Heather was sporting a new doo. She had ten inched taken off, to give to those undergoing cancer treatment. It was really weird at first but I like it.
Yesterday was our 24 month wedding anniversary, we are very much still in love and always will be!!! What an amazing two years!

Anger Issues
I know this is very random but thought it was really funny. For those of you that know him, it reminds me of my brother Isaac in his younger years!

I think most people would agree that having a photo booth at a reception is a great idea. It was a total hit at Robert and Stephanie's reception. Ammon was so excited about the whole thing that he had to try it three times, two of them are shown here for your viewing pleasure!!
We haven't had much luck getting good video of Ammon, but this is him sitting up and playng with his chick. I think that qualifies as multitasking, his mommy would be so proud!!

The Garden
This is our little garden behind our apartment complex. As you can tell some of the plants are thriving and some are not. The ones that are having the hardest time are transplants, I don't know if that has anything to do with it. We've planted squash, cucumber, tomato, bell pepper and probably something else that I've forgotten.
Mr. Ammon man is getting quite grabby with his little paws, it does not matter what it is, if its with in claw distance he will be after it. He's a pretty funny kid, I've been watching him at church and he seems to be attracted to colors of green and deep reddish pink.

Family Pictures
We took our first real family pictures last Friday! Any one with kids knows how difficult it can be to help them hold still, look in the right direction and smile all at the same time, not to mention keep there hands in a suitable position. Ammon, in the upper picture is doing what we call the "fish hook." Sometimes he does the "Double fish hook," that's two fingers with the same hand or fingers from both hands hooking his lip. Would you guess that these two cousins are almost 4 months apart. At five months Ammon is about 18.2 pounds and approx. 28 inches tall.

So Big!
Ammon is continuing to progress! His hair is slowly growing back, it's coming in blond this time, just his mom and dad when they were midgets. Lately he has been practicing sitting up and hand eye coordination. We started him on rice cereal a few weeks ago, he likes it. This morning he was eying our pancakes as we were feeding him. I could almost hear his thoughts, "Good is bad, if it keep you from something better."
Heather and I have both received differnet callings. Before Ammon was born we taught classes together in the primary. Now we are both in the scouting program. I am an assistant scout master over the 11 year old boys. Heather helps organize and execute the cub scout Pack Meetings every month. Heather Also started a new job this week with Salad Master (cookware companey) doing front office work. She is done by 1pm so she still gets to spend most of her day Ammon-the mighty midget of baby giberish.

A few days ago i read online that you can make a compass with a needle. So I decided to try it this morning. The instructions said to get a small needle and rub it one direction with a silk fabric to magnetize the needle, then take oil from your body (like where you nose meets your face) and rub on the needle this helps it float on water as the sharp end of the needle adjusts it self to point North. It took a few trys but it works, I substituted a little butter to make the needle float. After following the instructions i gently set the needle on the water with the sharp end pointing east to make sure it would direct it self and it did! I felt like a Myth Buster!

The Bumbo Buddy
I was making French Toast Last Sunday morning, I cracked my first egg and two yolks came out, I had never seen that before. I thought it was pretty amazing! Smoking deal for Albertsons!!
This is how I felt after being sick for over a week. I finally went to the doctor after five days and after what seemed like a thousand questions (I felt like I was on House) i was prescribed some king of six stage steroid (great stuff).

Ammon loves the toy he got for Christmas. "Thanks aunt Christina!" It has a dog in the center that moves back and forth as a song plays. He smiles and moves his arms and legs a lot during his play time with his puppy. Ammon is less that three months old, but today he fits into a Six month onesie, yeah real big! Heathers new nick-name for him is "Ducky," because is hair is so light and fluffy like fine duck feathers(down)!

The next "Gerber Baby"
Ammon doesn't smile very much by him self, but if we touch his upper lip or the corner of his mouth he will smile for us. His hobbies are eating, sleeping, watching The Price is Right (with mom), reading Harry Potter, watching Star Wars (with Dad), and driving his mom and dad bonkers during his "once a night freak out," during which my mind turns to one of the coolest movies ever, The Incredibles. You know the part at the end when Jack-Jack is a normal baby then he transforms into a goblin, a ball of fire and a lead weight all within 30 seconds. It just amazes me sometimes how fast babies go form content to, deafening screams!!
